The Artist Development
Division was established in 1995 by Eural “EJ” and Tammy
Hinskton, with the dream of becoming a worthy contender to the big
production companies that dot the East and West coasts and center
in Nashville, Tennessee.
EJ Hinskton has been a long time lyricist
and composer, starting out with Washington DC’s popular
1980's CBS recording artist "Radiant". He worked with
them as a lyricist and emcee until the group disbanded in the
late 80's.
He then moved on to successfully manage and DJ nightclubs in the
Washington DC area. While he was managing, he used his talents,
which he had been perfecting since he opened his own entertainment
company "SWAT Productions " in 1977, to become a popular
nightclub Disc Jockey. It was in D.C. where he wrote and co-produced,
and was an artist on his first song, "Jam No Question"
on independent label Y.P.I. Records, Forestville, MD. In
1990 he relocated to Denver, CO to try to expand his entertainment/disc
jockey company, "SWAT Productions". In 1999 he
relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to expand both his entertainment
company "SWAT
Productions", and music company. Since
moving to Las Vegas he has had time work on his true love,
writing, composing, and producing music. He prides himself on
his
musical flexibility and originality. He writes Rhythm & Blues,
Pop/Rock, Gospel, Children's songs, and dabbles a little in Country
Western. Before he became involved with writing and composing
music, he was an active duty member in the United States Air Force.
He is a retired Senior Master Sergeant from the Nevada Air
National Guard, and running a successful entertainment company,
"SWAT Productions" in Las Vegas, Nevada & Virginia
Beach, VA.
Tammy Hinskton, however, is new to the business. Tammy
has traveled all over the world
experiencing many different people and many different
cultures. With her she brings the administrative
support skills and public relation skills she has
learned
through work experience and earning her BS from Colorado
State University in 1995, and a MS degree from UNLV
in 2000. She is also a successful mobile disc
jockey with SWAT Productions It was because
of her desire to learn about the art of playing and
mixing music that
she met E.J. It did not take long before she became
his top billing. Her interest in music grew and she
wanted to learn more about the music business. As she
learned, she used her business skills to help found
the artist development side of SWAT Productions, Inc.
She has written songs that fall in the Pop/Rock and
Children's music categories. She currently is an active
duty officer in the United States Air Force.
Together, Tammy and EJ are partners to be reckoned with. Combined,
their skills show great promise for the successful future of S.W.A.T.Productions
Inc. in the world of music.
